Welcome!
-
Thanksgiving in Yosemite is a wonderful tradition we came up with this year.
There was nobody around with whom to celebrate, and not having to cook all
that food was quite the excellent idea! Add to it that we got to work off
the extra pounds on two marvelous and challenging hikes - what more can you
ask for? Ah yes, the weather was marvelous!

-
Back from Maui again! This time, I chose the splendid ride up Haleakala
as the main highlight. And what fun it was!

- If you are in Hawai'i and want to do a wonderful hike, check out the
ones on this page.
- Newly added a discussion forum based on PHPBB - easy setup, great
functionality, just would love to be able to use the site template
there, too!
- Just back from Hawai'i! Of course this site went down the very day
I left (and stayed that way until I returned - damn!) - but at least you
can see the
pictures now.

- Time to disappear again! Since I can't leave the country, I will
spend my birthday all by myself on the
Big Island of Hawaii. First trip
alone since I can remember, I want to go and train with the Ironmen and
Ironwomen. Even staying at their favorite hotel, the King Kam!
- Added a new weblog, since you can
never have enough of them!
- K. and I went to Safari West,
an animal park up in Sonoma county. What a blast! The tour is nice,
but they have only a select few species. But then I fell in love with
the lemurs, and K. fell for the cheetahs. You could almost touch them!
- Training Log - inspired by
Dave
Bailey, here is my little training log...
- Hawaii Travel - I finally got
around to writing a few impressions of my all-time favorite islands!

- Finally got to adding a section on the programs I have been writing!
htmltree is a
program to automatically generate a site from an XML descriptions, while
gewicht (German
for weight) is actually two utilities to enter and display my weight.
- Essays, a set of
essays on management matters that I particularly care about.
- Traveling in Italy, a
short guide for all friends of mine that asked what they have to
see, what they have to do in Italy
